Idea is to build a IoT controller (TCP/IP) for smart city applications, that uses optical interfaces for broadband connection and allows to control various systems without any human intervention. Controller would have two optical and one RJ45 (PoE) interfaces for communication purposes. Lighting control will be available over DALI interface. Controller allows to interface third party devices via Mini PCI-e radio module. Controller will have a GPS module that allows automatically to get devices location.
Controller has software for lightning control that gets data from various sensors (movement and light sensors). It is possible to update and patch controller’s software remotely. Controller software will be open-source.
The aim of the controller is to allow interfacing smart city systems with what-ever IoT devices.
