It makes possible to write on a what-ever external screen (e.g. video projector, VR headset, &#8230;) from any position.<\/p>\n<p>Braille was developed due to Napoleon&#8217;s demand for solder to write silently to each other in dark conditions. Today Braille is mainly used as a writing and reading mean for blind people.<\/p>\n<p>BraillePad is similar to BraillePen. The main difference is that BraillePen is external device, while BraillePad is fixed to smart phone.<\/p>\n<p>There is also software available that utilize smart phone screen for Braille input.\u00a0http:\/\/youtu.be\/xlwRxzljt7g shows how mute person can make him\/herself heard by speech synthesizer. The main disadvantage of software-only solution is the fact that smart phone screen is fully used as an input device.<\/p>\n<p>BraillePad is placed to the back side of smart phone. It creates ergonomic text input possibility and leaves smart phone&#8217;s screen for other information presentation.
