BLE beacon based indoor AR game
Last year many of us witnessed the success of Pokemon GO – a first massively popular outdoor augmented reality game in the word. The game used smartphone GPS and camera functionality. I was wondering that the same could be done for indoors where GPS signal is hard to maintain.
Beacons are quite new technology in augmented reality. They communicate via Bluetooth with smartphones and tablets and are very energy efficiently and becoming cheaper with every day. This could give individuals a new trilling experience and can benefit business. Combined VR using for example regular smartphone with google cardboard it might offer exciting innovative possibilities what would be affordable for many.
