What?

What?

One of the biggest Estonian hardware hackathon brings together innovative idea authors with hardware and software engineers. The goal is to build a functional device from the idea during a weekend – is it a minidrone, smart birdnest or something else. Each idea will get a 5 to 10 member team, that needs to build the first protoype. Everybody has a chance to propose an idea for building until October 12th. Event mentors will choose the best ideas that will be built during October 24th to 26th. Event takes place in TUT Mektory building, 15 Raja Street, Tallinn, Estonia.

It does not matter which skills you have – everybody, who wants to build something, is welcome. We are waiting for people from students to high-end engineers. Extremely welcome are start-up enterpreneus and their ideas. Feel free also to participate if you have just some hobby project..

Skeemipesa will involve its mentors to the event, who help to build the devices with both their skills and advice. Skeemipesa is also supporting ideas being built during event in an amount of at least 200 euros. Mektory offers its modern machinery – 3D printers, CNC-milling machines, soldering and measurement tools, computers. Several presenters give additional value to the event.

Prototron and Startup Garage teach how to create a functional company from the idea. Estonian Electronics Industries Association describes cooperation between companies and science and educational institutions. Also several theoretical presentations will take place.

Prototron is a fund that helps to transform innovative ideas to functional products. Protoron helps with both advice and funding.

Defendec is innovative company, which is specialized on guard technology development.

Theoretical presentations:

Tanel Jalakas, TTÜ Elektrotehnika Instituut – Overview of PCB design software programs

Jaanus Aal, Enics – From prototype to mass production
