Step-Charge
Step-Charge is a device that allows to charge lithium-polymer batteries in an efficient way that prolongs batteries lifetime. Today’s consumer devices (mobiles, tablets, laptops, battery banks, etc.) use mostly lithium-polymer (LiPo) batteries. Their charges are not optimal in the sense of battery lifetime. Most LiPo chargers use linear charging with constant current. As a result, batteries inner resistance starts to rise and capacity to decline already after few charging cycles. Step-Charge is a adapter between LiPo charger and battery that allows to charge battery with higher, but changing current. Charge current will change depending on the charging phase. Such smart charging logic allows people not to charge their mobiles during day. It also transforms battery banks and other energy storing devices work more efficient and prolongs their lifetime. Step-cycle chargers are already available, but their price is high. Step-Charge is cheaper alternative.
